Lead developer of Modus - an API serverless framework based on WebAssembly and written in Go

Led the development effort for Sentry's .NET SDKs. The majority of my technical contributions are public as part of https://github.com/getsentry/sentry-dotnet. I also worked to strengthen .NET at Sentry, including internally with sales and support teams, and externally with customers (meet-up, conference, YouTube, etc.).A highlight - I planned, developed, and launched the Sentry SDK for .NET MAUI.

Taking a pause from tech, I ran a hobby business focusing on residential handyperson projects.

In my nearly 8 years at Microsoft, I was involved with many different projects. Highlights include:- I led a horizontal code quality effort to protect the company against leap day bugs. This included the technical design, development of custom static analysis tooling, operating the system at scale across millions of lines of code, coordinating efforts within the team and within partner teams, and triaging results for significant findings. The project was largely successful, saving the company from millions in losses from potential service outages that might have triggered on Feb 29th due to the date.- I helped design and implement several parts of the improved date, time, and time zone support in .NET 6 including two new primary data types (DateOnly and TimeOnly). This was a collaboration both with the open-source community and with the internal .NET team at Microsoft. The result is that .NET developers worldwide will have a better experience in this area, hopefully leading to fewer bugs and less friction.- I created the logic that powers the "Set Time Zone Automatically" feature in Windows.- Provided deep technical guidance and gave presentations to customers and internal partners.- Made a web-based version of a legacy profiling tool that is used across the company, which plays a key role in keeping Microsoft’s cloud services performant, operating economically, and conserving energy.Additional experiences at Microsoft included:- Built APIs and UIs for performance profiling tools, using ASP.NET Core and React (JS).- Acted as an Incident Manager for the Azure Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) group.- Helped advance the strategy of the "Problem Management" initiative within Azure SRE, including incident postmortem analysis.- Worked on Azure's service health visualizations for the "Cloud Collaboration Center".- Helped engineer a data pipeline for ad ingestion with the Microsoft display advertising team.

Led the company's efforts for their time-and-attendance SaaS software, including maintaining legacy products and creating future software offerings. Focused on Microsoft .NET application development technologies. Managed a small team of other software engineers, and reported directly to the CEO.Note that Time America was acquired by Synel Industries, Ltd., and renamed as "Synel Americas" after my departure.
