Matt Kowalczyk is a long time technologist and serial entrepreneur. Computer technology has been his passion for as long as long as he can remember. Other kids mowed lawns for money – he repaired Apple computers. He had the master key to his high school because he set up and managed its very first computer lab in the early 80’s.After doing a stint developing applications for the NeXT in 1992, Microsoft recruited him straight out of Carnegie Mellon University in 1994. He spent over 11 years with Microsoft as an engineering/business lead; highlights included co-pitching the TabletPC concept to Bill Gates and co-founding the company's ultra-mobile personal computer (UMPC) team.Since Microsoft, he has started 11 companies, worked as an executive at four other companies, and consulted for many more. In one of those companies, he built the best selling wine software for the iPhone for 4 years straight. He works as venture partner for a Aves Lair, an early stage VC firm in New York City, and he is also the CEO of a fine art/music based NFT platform called Burble. His main gig is as the CEO of EXIT83 Consulting in Seattle, Washington. Matt and his team at EXIT83 have been helping companies for 15 years and are experts in custom software development, DevOps, and IOT systems integration. Their clients have included Nasdaq, US Government, Intel, Microsoft, Axon, and 85+ other small to medium sized businesses. EXIT83 also provides staff augmentation services domestically and in his satellite office in Medellin, Colombia.
