The web has always amazed and inspired me since I was in high school and started building my first websites using nothing, but notepad and basic html. Since then my skills have evolved and I began to explore various programming languages, web standards, and started studying design in school. As time passed on I settled on front end development as my career path for my life. As a front end developer I strive to make future proof, responsive, clean, and easy to use websites.I accomplish this task through current web design and development standards such as HTML5, CSS3, jQuery, and JavaScript. On the other end of the spectrum front end development deals with the aesthetic, design, and usability of the website. I have tried to keep my design abilities in tandem with my coding abilities. A website can be an artistic master piece, but if it is hard to use no one will care. I strive for that balance when I develop for the web. I want to make websites an experience people will remember and want to use again. I am currently pursuing my B.S. in Technical Communications with a concentration in digital media. This degree has helped develop my communication and design skills and showed me how to apply these principles with software technology. I can brand a company using Adobe Illustrator, develop a site map and wireframe using Adobe Photoshop, and finally combine these elements to create a strong presence both digitally and visually for a company. I focused the majority of my coursework for this major on analytics, design, and usability. My minor is in Information Technology. I wanted to enhance my programming skills along with my design capabilities. My main focus with these classes are to enhance my abilities with programming languages such as JAVA,Python, and app development for mobile.
