I'm a queer travel writer with a passion for sharing stories about 2SLGBTQIA+ community and culture in unexpected places. I've been writing professionally since culinary school in 2006, when I began with a focus on food and restaurants, before evolving my career towards queer travel. My bylines appear in Travel + Leisure, Thrillist, InsideHook, Eater National, Conde Nast Traveler, Atlas Obscura, AFAR, BBC, 405 Magazine, KOA, The Oklahoman, WDW Magazine, Plate Magazine, Tasting Table, and many others. My first book, The Hunt Guides: Chicago, was released in February, 2016. My second book, Unique Eats & Eateries of Chicago, came out in 2017.In 2019, I created and hosted a travel podcast with iHeartRadio called "Parklandia," which became the most downloaded travel podcast in the U.S. shortly after its debut. In 2020, I became the first openly gay writer to have a cover story on The Oklahoman, the oldest and largest newspaper in Oklahoma. In 2023, under three years after moving to Oklahoma City, I received a Hometown Hero Award from Visit OKC for my cultural contributions to Oklahoma City.
