I’ve had the privilege of contributing to YouTube’s meteoric growth in very unique ways, from being one of its original stars, to helping shape its future as a 10-year employee. During my time on the inside, I authored many of the platform’s creator best-practices that have since scaled to tens of millions of creators – and even to competing platforms.My roles at YouTube included Lead Content Strategist, Manager of Creative Insights, Head Producer for the official Creators channel, and YouTube’s first-ever Global Creator Liaison. The latter, requested by CEOs Susan Wojcicki and Sundar Pichai, allowed me to bridge the gap between YouTube and its creator community – a responsibility that reflected my deep understanding of both sides. After a decade as a YouTube/Google employee, I founded Creator Dynamics, a consultancy dedicated to helping companies and organizations grow their channels using proven creator-based strategies. It’s my mission to bring the same insights that helped YouTube’s stars thrive, to larger organizations ready to make an impact on the platform.
