My passion for working with students and their families is based on the conviction first shard by Dalia Lama “When educating the minds of our youth, we must not forget to educate their hearts.” My priority is the overall development of students' academic, social, and emotional needs that will promote and propel their future success.Before pursuing a school leadership career, I taught elementary and intermediate students in the Berea City School District for 17 years. After completing the Inspired Leadership Cohort at Cleveland State University, my journey began at the Murray Ridge Center of Lorain County and Keystone Local Schools as an intern. In 2015, I joined Fairview Park City School District as the Associate Principal at Gilles-Sweet Elementary school. I continue to strive to make a positive impact and influence in the lives of the students, families, community and staff of Gilles-Sweet.Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with my family and being outside in the yard, my garden, or the many projects I start but struggle to find the time to finish. I enjoy growing and preserving what we grow into homemade canned products such as spaghetti sauce, ketchup, salsa, pickles and jelly.
