• Works with the Leadership Team to develop programs and policies that support reaching company goals and objectives.• Participates in the start-up of new Hy-Tech branches in different jurisdictions, overseeing that all applicable employment related laws are adhered to.• Oversees the recruitment and onboarding of all field operations employees and branch management/administration employees to ensure business requirements and succession planning needs.• Keeps HR programs, procedures and documents current with government regulations to protect the interests of the organization and the employees, performing regular legal reviews to ensure legal compliance.• Oversees performance management and career development planning considerations of administration, management and field operations teams.• Liaises with management, supervisors and employees to provide direct support for coaching, progressive discipline, and conflict resolution.• Conducts and oversees human resources related incident investigations, ensuring thorough, objective, timely and effective courses of action – ensuring confidentiality and integrity are upheld.• Manages the international work visa process and for Hy-Tech Drilling employees temporarily assigned to non-domestic countries, and tracking and ensuring ongoing legal and regulatory compliance.• Provides oversight to international employee benefits programs, CPP applications, and international tax documents.

•Completed a two-week shift as a Driller’s Helper, living and working in a remote camp in Northwestern B.C. This allowed Matt to understand how to better engage and support Hy-Tech's field operations team and optimize recruitment, engagement and support of field staff.•Advertising/Social Media: Worked with team members to establish a robust social media plan followed by independent hands-on content creation of both graphics, themes and accompanying written material .•HR Administration – Develop and continually improve organizational programs and policies•Coordinate international visa applications, CPP applications, and other activities for overseas work•Coordinate performance review process•Recruitment and Onboarding – pre-employment assessments, employment offers and create and update new hire packages •Health and Safety / Return to Work – Coordinate Return to Work Program and track program statistics
