As the Collins Class Submarine Combat System Integrator, Raytheon Australia provides upkeep, update and upgrade activities for the Collins Combat System across all platforms and the Combat System Shore Facility. I report to the Operations Manager and perform and manage engineering sustainment activities in WA and SA. I also facilitate continuous improvement to support system maintenance, maintenance-related investigations, workplace change and health and safety initiatives.

ASC delivers sustainment activities for the Collins Class submarines and shipbuilds the Hobart Class Air Warfare Destroyer and Arafura Class Offshore Patrol Vessel programs. It has 1800 employees. Operations in WA and SA alone has a budget of $125m. I oversee continuous improvement activities in WA and SA operations. I drive activities and culture through leading, mentoring, coaching and supporting others through change initiatives that improve customer outcomes, efficiency and cross-functional work practices.

I managed 50 FTEs plus contractors across five teams delivering five submarines. I recruited, grew and retained the electrical trade capability to meet continually changing/dynamic operational needs.

I led a team of highly skilled and competent tradespeople in a complex maintenance/sustainment environment. I was also responsible for isolations, risk management and safety.

EJ Electrical provides electrical design, manufacture, repair, refit and installation services to the marine industry. I worked on Defence projects such as ANZAC and Collins Class maintenance and upgrades, Navy support vessels (fuel tanker, patrol boats, torpedo retrieval and submarine rescue) and large-scale marine construction of commercial and luxury ferries and vessels (steel and aluminium), tugboats, rig tenders, support vessels.
