I've spent my career providing businesses and academic institutions with technology that enables employees and students to do whatever it is they need to do with a minimum of fuss, whether that's creating news and entertainment content and getting it to viewers (CNN, HBO, WB, Discovery), participating in teaching and learning (Morehouse College). As my role has shifted toward leadership, I've kept my hands dirty with some tech while shifting focus to strategy, budgeting, organizational management, culture development, training, and similar matters that help acceptable teams be great. I can read the packet capture and debug the vendor's data collection scripts. I can also frame the operating and capital budgets and align the tech team's strategic goals with those of the company.When I'm not leading tech things I teach Scouts and summer camp kids about the wonders of outdoor living and help operate Camp Juliette Low (501c3) in Cloudland, GA.
