About Matt Lanza, Cdm

In a world where hype over weather is a near constant, my job as a meteorologist is to cut through the noise and ultimately answer the question, "What does it mean?" I am a weather forecaster with a long, proven track record of success at Fortune 500 companies and in digital media. My ability to succinctly communicate weather impacts allows me to thrive in both digital media and in a business, energy, and trading environment and allows my end users to profitably leverage weather information and protect employees and physical assets. I am completely comfortable interacting with decision-makers, from CEOs to traders and everyone in between in a calm, level-headed manner in chaotic, fast paced environments. Effectively communicating how weather will impact people or business is what I do.

I also spent some time contributing articles to a popular Philadelphia weather blog, phillywx.com. I have had my insights on weather included by many news organizations, including the New York Times, Washington Post's Capital Weather Gang, Wall Street Journal, Houston Chronicle, Texas Standard (NPR), and USA Today.
