I have developed sections of the hardware and firmware of an alternative fuel power supply product. I have specifically worked on the USB and power supply interfaces. This involved designing, verifying and validating the circuitry and writing the control software and transport layer for the USB stack. I developed a PID control system for a new range of electric cookers. This involved both hardware and firmware implementations. The system replaced a time based PWM controller with inaccurate mechanical limiter. The new design implemented a thermistor based temperature sensor with more accurate control to maintain a specific temperature set point.
