While employed at Serra, my primary responsibility was to develop controls applications and Human Machine Interfaces for industrial automation, process control, motion control, and material handling projects. My duties included: Developing software for programmable logic controllers and PCs, designing control systems layouts, specifying PLC hardware and software, debugging real-time software on a variety of hardware platforms and communication networks, documenting the design and operation of systems clearly and completely, interacting with customers and end-users from project inception to post installation support, and performing troubleshooting and maintenance of existing control systems. I work both independently and as the lead engineer on large projects. As lead engineer, I coordinate the efforts of a team of engineers to ensure that the final product is reliable and robust and that the software installation is successful, as well as serve as a mentor to those with less experience.

While employed at Barry-Wehmiller Design Group, my main function was to develop controls applications for packaging systems.My duties included: Developing Scope of work and Description of Operation documents to define the work to be done and provide contractors a detailed description of the work for accurate bidding, managing Electrical contractors during installation and commissioning, developing software for programmable logic controllers, designing control systems layouts, specifying PLC hardware and software, debugging real-time software on a variety of hardware platforms and communication networks, documenting the design and operation of systems clearly and completely, interacting with customers and end-users from project inception to post installation support, and performing troubleshooting and maintenance of existing control systems.
