Served as ITW's technical expert for the design and development of a capless fuel systems and testing standards. The result of this project led to other consulting assignments at ITW, ranging from sales support to quality management at various assembly plants.-Established contacts at automotive OEM’s for sale of new fuel system technologies. -Created technical specifications for new products and established lab testing procedures.-Audited existing plant process and quality documentation to insure key metrics were being tracked and communicated.

As a project manager, led the APQP (Advanced Product Quality Planning) team for the development of new fuel system assemblies. Managed multiple customer relationships to ensure design and quality expectations were being exceeded. Built strategic partnerships with suppliers to assure customer expectations for quality and delivery were aligned. Six-Sigma and lean-manufacturing principles were utilized to ensure quality and cost objectives were met.

Performed the design and validation of new fuel systems products for the medium and heavy duty truck markets. Managed and enhanced the performance of suppliers through design and manufacturing reviews to assure the end customer value expectations were being met. Initiated and performed root-cause analysis for design, testing and launch issues and implemented corrective action plans to eliminate future failures. Used Six-Sigma and lean-manufacturing principles to improve quality and reduce wasted resources.
