As an assistant producer at Capital XTRA, I manage the stations output within Global Player’s 'My Radio'. This involves scripting content for every show on the station and ensuring it is recorded edited and delivered on a tight schedule. This new medium has meant there's been plenty of opportunity to develop presenters in this new broadcast space and to develop my skills in feeding back to presenters.This role also involves scheduling music through G-Selector and programming pop up stations in Zetta.

I interned at Capital East Midlands on the Thursday drive time show, which is hosted by Tom Watts and Claire Chambers. The role has gave me great insight into commercial radio stations and how they operate as well as specifically teaching me about the way Global operates and the Capital FM audience. My responsibilities included; assisting in sourcing relevant and entertaining content as well as developing ideas into links for the show; editing clips for airplay that add to a particular link or help better explain an item being discussed; assisting in managing the station's social media during the show and occasionally featuring on the show too.

One of two Station Editors of the University of Nottingham’s student radio station. Role involved overall responsibility for the operations, programming and development of a volunteer organisation with over 250 active members and a total expenditure of around £20,000 per year. Managing a committee of 13 students and developing their skills to ensure that the station runs as effectively as possible. Overseeing the marketing (both physical and online), financial and development strategies of the organisation, and ensuring that the studios are in working order at all times. Accountable to OFCOM, Nottingham Students’ Union and the volunteer members of the station, with a duty to ensure the station operates legally at all times, and broadcasts quality content for 18 hours each day.

As a presenter on URN, there is a whole host of different responsibilities that are included in the role. Beginning as a daytime presenter where I would prepare content for every show; including recording, editing and scripting segments for the show . As well as, producing and presenting the shows live every week. From this I fell in love with radio and sought to gain experience in as many diverse fields as possible. I now present a specialist music show with some of the largest listener interaction at the station as well as appear regularly on the station's daily news program.
