Serve as liaison to the office of Vice Provost for Faculty. Provide oversight for the library faculty annual review process and oversight of faculty appointments, reappointments, and promotions in the context of the Policy on Librarian and Archivist Appointments and the university’s reappointment, promotion, and tenure (RPT) processes. Participate in faculty recruitment, mentor faculty in the context of the librarian/archivist track, record and report information about the library faculty, and maintain the University Libraries Faculty Handbook.

Provide in-depth research support to the Electrical & Computer Engineering, Mathematical Sciences, and Physics Departments.

I have taught Bibliography of the Sciences, Database Searching, Government Documents, Developing Library Collections, Information Sources & Services and Introduction to the Information Professions.

Surface ship nuclear propulsion plant operator aboard the USS Mississippi from 1980 to 1984. Prior to that in US Navy schooling. Final rank was Petty Officer First Class.
