My first placement on the Technology Leadership graduate scheme was as a solution architect working on the front end of Tesco Direct. During my time in this team I was responsible for:• Assisting in the creation of a new testing environment for the four development teams: - Setup Jenkins to automate our build process and allow the teams to release code at anytime - Installed Sonarqube to monitor the code quality of release, and integrated it with Jenkins - Carried out maintenance to the environment, and provided training to team members• Working with product owners to develop technical solutions to business problems, which could then be passed to our development teams• Introducing error logging to our email systems, which would pass details to our customer service teamsI also had the opportunity to take over as scrum master of a UI development team:• Oversaw the transition of the team from UI focused to a full end to end development team, without impacting the release velocity• Provided agile coaching, including the introduction to Scrum• Coordinated the various ceremonies such as stand up, sprint retrospectives, and worked closely with the Product Owners to manage the backlog• Removed blockers stopping the development team working at full capacity - introduced a guide on inducting products into the test environments

I was also heavily involved in a series of testing stages and rolling it out into store. Gained a valuable insight into technology with a multi channel retailer.
