I led the email capabilities team for the Bluestem and Orchard Brands. Our team looked for opportunities to leverage our data as well as our vendor’s data to create highly personalized emails and continually improve our customers’ experience. I was also responsible for maintaining deliverability and the tools, processes and automations related to production of all promotional email, plus 250 triggered and transactional messages for the Orchard Brands portfolio and Northstar brands.2019-2020 HIGHLIGHTS• Created an automation to manage deliverability based on user engagement. Eliminated the need to pay for deliverability services while still maintaining 99% delivery rates.• Streamlined the production process by leveraging Responsys to automate building emails. This allowed the team to go from building 3-4 emails a day to building 20-30 a day. • Developed programs to use purchase, click and browse data to create personas to better target email personalization and reporting. These profile triggers consistently outperformed abandon cart emails for open and clicks and dollars per email.• Moved the transactional emails from an internal service to Responsys utilizing the Responsys API. This allowed the marketing team to personalize additional upsell opportunities as well as control the look and feel.• Created a process that allows email recipients to pause, opt-down or reset their preferences to receive email.• Managed and created more than 250 email triggers and transactional messages including automating the promo code process so that the marketing teams can quickly switch out promo codes, test multiple strategies and utilize suppression rules to ensure the most important triggers go out without overwhelming the email recipient. • Integrated with SmarterHQ, Monetate & Tealium to use third-party data with Responsys.
