I develop and promote company policy positions with federal, state and local government officials to ensure the company achieves its priorities. I achieve that by building long term relationships with key policy leaders, government officials as well as organizing coalitions of 3rd parties to advocate on our behalf. I provide guidance for our Political Action Committee (PAC) activity and as well as strengthen our membership giving. I work with the local community to provide strategic corporate citizenship strategies to increase the organization's Net Promoter Score(NPS). I achieve that by serving on local community boards and commissions that align with our citizenship & sustainability goals as well as providing thought leadership with influential community stakeholders.

I worked to establish and organizational legislative agenda, develop policy and issue position statements. I watched and tracked hundreds of pieces of legislation on local, state, and federal level. Help prepare both written and oral testimony before the legislature. I also provide the staff and community with timely updates on coming legislation via presentations and newsletters. Develop relationships between the city, state and federal government and inform them on the organizations activities. I also attended many local and regional civic organizations as the district representative as well as prepare many external communications.

I served at the District Director for a Texas State Representative which included heavy public relations, representing him at Grand Prairie and Irving functions like Chamber of Commerce, school board, and city council meetings. At these meetings I interfaced with business, political, and community leaders to learn and understand their views, issues, and concerns about state government. I would work with the Representative to develop and analyze public policies and how they would affect the district. This position requires a high degree of people and communication skills. I planned and publicized all the Representatives town hall meetings. I also listen and understand various position of the constituency. I managed all the casework that came into the office. Which often lead to dealing with various state and local governmental offices.

I was in charge of the campaigns grass roots operations. I scheduled, planned and executed all community walks and phone banks to talk local citizens about the campaign. I managed the campaigns social media and email communications. I was also called on to be the official campaign spokesman for events the candidate was not able to attend. I managed the candidate’s schedule, finding local events and speaking opportunities. When the campaign entered into the Get Out The Vote phase(GOTV), I helped target, contact, and ensure favorable voters reached the polls in time.

While working on the Congressional Campaign I was offend staffed with recruiting volunteers for neighborhood walks, distributing campaign signs and literature to Precinct Chairs in 3 different counties, making contact with state and local officials to increase our endorsement list and attend local meetings to speak on behalf of the congressman.

I helped design the campaign website,social media sites and campaign push cards. I also attended meetings to speak on her behalf and help recruit young volunteers to help put out signs and walk neighborhoods.

I was deployed to Iraq in a security platoon element. We conducted route security missions, and I served as communications leader and Truck Commander for multiple missions. I was tasked to handle shots fired investigations, as well as detainment and questioning of persons of interest. I also served as a combat Life saver when medical attention was required.
