Experience with GitHub, PostgreSQL, MongoDB and dealing with APIs.I started in web design almost 20 years ago; I was there for the early days of the web (oh how much more simple things were) - although I left this behind some years ago. Since then, I have indulged my curiosity in the world through extra study in mathematics, logic, computer science, politics, philosophy, and - probably most of all - linguistics. I decided to return to programming through GA as it is a whistlestop tour of what is needed to be competitive in the current coding world. It has felt like a homecoming as I have been able to use my analytical brain once more, although I am keen to seek ways of combining my other loves with this. The possibilities for code in this modern age are almost endless (and the tools as well it would seem!). However I feel I have returned at the right time to be a part of the brilliant and exciting world of coding. The dev world also seems to have a fantastic ethos - anyone is welcome, code for good causes is rife, and people are respected on merit. It's an exciting time to be a coder.
