In my final role at Shelter I was part of a small senior managment team. As Southern Operations Manager I had responsibility for all street and door-2-door face-to-face activity in the south of England. This included regional teams in Bristol, Plymouth, Birmingham and London. I managed 8 regional managers and deputies and had overall responisility for up to 80 F2F fundraisers and a budget of over £1.5 million covering these regions.

I was asked to project manage this new innovative venture in its early stages. I successfully negotiated contracts and organised campaign set up with Merlin, Oxfam, UNICEF and Cancer Research UK. I was in charge of all set up and organisation of the Street Academy for the first 3 months of its existence including client liasion, scheduling, training and recruitment, compliance, KPI's and performance monitoring. I spoke at last years IOF F2F conference about the Street Academy and am proud to have been involved in such an exciting venture which has gained acclain from the sector.

After setting up the Birmingham regional team from scratch and making it the most successful in the UK, I was asked to launch a new team in Bristol and Plymouth. I oversaw 9 F2F teams (around 36 staff) working across Birmingham, Bristol and Plymouth.
