Matt is passionate about simplifying the complex world of wealth management. Through the years, he has carefully steered many clients through four recessions as well as highly prosperous times.Today, his overriding mission is to use his gifts to serve others, with the confident belief that by obediently helping clients pursue their goals he is seeking his. Matt graduated with Bachelor's degrees in Business Marketing and Business Management and an MBA in Finance from Oklahoma State University. While pursuing his degrees he also joined the OSU football team. After college, Matt pursued his dream of playing professional football with the New York Jets and the Buffalo Bills. In 1989, he began working with Merrill, focusing on wealth management during his last three years in the NFL, and then joined the Firm full time after retiring from his professional sports career. Presently, Matt is a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER®, CFP® certificant, a designation awarded by the Certified Financial Planner Board of Standards, Inc. He also holds the Chartered Retirement Planning Counselor™, CRPC™ designation. Matt was named by Barron's magazine to its list of the Top 1,000 Advisors in America in 2009, 2010, 2011, 2012, and 2013 (Published annually in February. Rankings based on data as of September 30 of prior year).
