I have a strong interest in the utilisation of both learning and audio-visual technologies in Higher Education, with the aim of enhancing student learning and experience. I am driven by realising the benefits in the application of emerging technologies in learning environments, designing UX-driven audio-visual solutions and maximising efficiency, functionality and return on investment on both practical and schematical levels. My background in television, specifically in location sound recording and audio post-production, has equipped me with extensive technical knowledge and experience in operating and supporting audio-visual technologies for high-profile productions and events. I am approachable and professional with the ability to demonstrate technical processes and practices clearly and effectively to a wide-array of users. In my current role, I manage technology in over 200 learning spaces across our beautiful campus at the University of East Anglia. This comprises both managing a team of technicians who provide day-to-day operational support for the spaces, as well as designing and upgrading technology in spaces as part of an ongoing refresh programme. Working closely with a contracted AV integrator, I help translate functional user requirements into technical solutions - helping to drive the design and installation of robust and high-quality audio-visual solutions.
