As owner-operator of BIO+D, I was responsible for bringing to every person that walked through my shop doors a new product or skill for enjoying the PNW lifestyle -- whether in the mud, in the mountains, on the beach, or in the garden. From homesteading kits for making cheese or brewing beer, to fly tying and casting classes, to emergency prep gear, passion was the foundation. The consumer objective was to allow anyone to come in and learn about products and skills that make life a little more interesting and a lot more fun.

Start-up originally focused on harnessing the power of used smartphones for remote sensing. A hardware company focused on upcycling mobile phones and repurposing them for remote sensing eventually transitioned to a software company building workflow systems for businesses.

The largest growth period of my career, I entered 104 West as young PR professional and exited as an Account Director managing multiple teams and tasked with creation and oversight of marketing and communications strategies for technology clients. As an outside agency serving technology companies in both enterprise and consumer markets, I worked closely with in-house marketing and engineering teams to understand market landscapes and product roadmaps to develop comprehensive marketing plans to. My role as Account Director not only included strategic planning, but required a hands-on approach to daily in-the-trenches media and analyst relations work. I focused much of these efforts on leading C-level executives through one-on-one media and technology analyst interviews.

Functioned in a contracted marketing communications role for enterprise security policy management company. Primary duties included working with in-house marketing and engineering teams to draft and distribute press releases touting new products and company news, as well as performing media and analyst relations.

Responsible for engaging technology analysts covering client markets. Efforts included research of the competitive landscape and the analysts focused on those areas, engaging those analysts on behalf of client, and managing ongoing relationships with various analyst houses.
