Primary responsibilities were the U.S. Army Core of Engineers world-wide network(CEAP) consisting of some 250 routers on an OSPF and OSI backbone, 4 Internet connections running BGPv4, 4 BGPv4 connections to the Department of Defense NIPRnet and approximately 40,000 computing nodes. Telecommunications responsibilities included installation, monitoring, and troubleshooting the various T1 lines, frame relay circuits, OC3 MAN, ATM and satellite communications links. Also responsible for system administration for a cluster of Sun and Linux machines and enterprise-wide DNS maintenance interfacing with ARIN, NIC.MIL
