I am a co-founder of the Outer Circle Foundation, a non-profit dedicated to supporting Military Veterans and First Responders. The foundation offers crucial resources for PTSD, suicide awareness and prevention, career coaching, resume development, networking opportunities, and support for service animals through partnerships with other non-profits.My life was shaped by a deep sense of duty and community. His father, Herman "Chuck" Payne, was tragically killed in Vietnam when Matt was just two months old. This loss instilled in him a profound respect for those who serve and sacrifice for their country.I served as a USAF Combat Controller for about 10 years before being medically retired. I then entered into law enforcement where I retired as a Chief. I am a devout Christian, and firmly believe in the teachings of Jesus Christ. I believe that Jesus was sent to earth to save humanity through His crucifixion, and that His sacrifice ensures the forgiveness of sins for all who believe. This faith is a cornerstone of my life and work, guiding my efforts to make a positive impact on the world.Through the Outer Circle Foundation, my faith plays a pivotal role in shaping the organization’s mission and initiatives. The foundation’s work is deeply rooted in the principles of compassion, service, and love for one’s neighbor, reflecting our commitment to living out our faith in tangible ways. By providing PTSD resources, raising awareness and implementing preventive measures to combat suicide among Veterans and First Responders, and offering career coaching and resume development, the foundation aims to bring hope and healing to those in need. My passion extends beyond my professional life; it's a calling. I am driven by the desire to make the world a better place, utilizing my expertise and experience to protect the vulnerable and promote the values I hold dear. My belief in the transformative power of faith and service drives the foundation’s efforts to support and uplift those who have sacrificed so much. My core beliefs include living with unwavering integrity, giving back to the community, and contributing to positive change—one smile at a time. I and my wife, Buffy Payne, are proud parents to five wonderful children: Meghan, Allison, Conner, Madison, and Ian. Our family is his greatest source of strength and inspiration, and they share our commitment to faith and service.
