Performing and supervising technical surveying, inspections, coordinating maintenance and services for electronic control systems and mechanical components for well control equipment for drill ships and on drilling platforms worldwide. • Responsible as SME for ensuring equipment is fit for service, understanding and evaluating system functionality, assessing and troubleshooting problems; providing clients with recommendations for repair and improvement of equipment. • Partnering with clients to comply with industry and government regulations (API, CFR, IEC, NEC, and NFPA, as well as follow strict OSHA safety standards.• Participating in problem-solving for major drilling equipment and control failures; identifying root cause, corrective actions and applying best practice and industry guidelines to resolve issues.• Surveying at client sites, as well as monitoring progress, factory acceptance testing (FAT), final inspections and ongoing compliance testing. • Successfully participated in assessments and consulting for GE/Hydril BOP and MUX control systems, Rockwell Automation AAdvance (6th Generation) and GE Fanuc (5th and 4th Generations), BOP control systems for NOV/Shaffer and Cameron BOP and controls components. • Supporting domestic and international installations and maintenance on subsea control systems and equipment, providing final approval on compliance documentation (following international rules/regulations).• Working with crews for initial installation, commissioning and completion of new and rebuilt drilling and well control systems.

Coordinating repair and inspection of NOV rig equipment, responding to “rig down” situations, end-of-well maintenance, supporting installation and commissioning projects (I&C); maintenance and servicing PLC, control systems, pneumatic and hydraulic equipment. • Interpreting engineering drawings/schematics to interrogate PLC programs, identify minor software changes, fault-finding on AC/DC power systems and variable frequency drives. • Providing technical assistance for projects, first-well support, between-well maintenance and “rig down” support worldwide; collaborating with management, engineering, quality and HSE teams to resolve problems and improve operation.• Inspecting and testing equipment for conformance to operational standards, escalating key faults and failures and monitoring progress through to resolution. • Supervising the assembly and erection of equipment; working closely with customers and subcontractors to make repairs, corrections, address shortages or labor needs.• Training, dispatching and coordinating for +80 Field Service Technician crews for NOV shops and facilities, customers’ vessels and training yards to ensure successful equipment delivery and operation.
