On returning to Geraldton to bring our daughter up around family, I joined Activewest Real Estate. Servicing the majority of the Midwest region, Activewest is a family-owned, independent agency in operation for more than 35 years. My purview is to expand and diversify the Commercial Sales & Leasing arm of the business, with a view to increasing market share while retaining existing clientele. Working directly with the Licensee I create and implement sales and marketing strategies specifically tailored to achieve our clients desired outcomes with regard to buying, selling, or leasing property in commercial, industrial, or retail spaces.

South West

I oversee the day to day running of the South West region with specific responsibility for the performance & execution of business plan in its entirety. In addition to managing the Sales Team, I maintain the display home program currently comprising four displays from Australind to Dunsborough. I liaise with the Group Sales Management team to maintain a market leading product range, and work one-on-one with individual team members to coach, mentor, and motivate them to succeed. I work closely with the C.E.O and the Group Accountant to provide input into, and produce budgets and monthly financial reporting and commentary. I coach and track performance for all staff members to ensure they're meeting their KPI's. I work closely with the Group Construction Management Team to ensure compliance, build times, and quality control are maintained. I am responsible for employing new staff members, and maintaining a strong team culture with a focus on ethics and personal responsibility.

South West, Wa

I relocated to Bunbury in late 2018 to lead the South West sales team, and devise a sales strategy to capture increased market share. I research market trends and the competitive landscape to develop an industry-leading product portfolio, and work closely with the marketing team to conceptualise and launch new products & offerings. As the Sales Manager for the entire South West I'm responsible for building and maintaining a sales team of the highest calibre, as well as setting goals and monitoring performance. As well as coaching, mentoring, and feedback I provide feedback from the coalface on the quality of leads, and requirements of the modern home buyer, and allocate new leads through use of sophisticated CRM and marketing software. I manage rostering and upkeep of 3-5 display homes at any time, and liaise with developers to identify future display program opportunities. I monitor the quality, and acceptance of new deals, and act as a conduit between the sales team, and design & estimating teams, and overall motivate the team to sell new homes, and provide them with the support and tools to do so effectively.

Geraldton

In addition to leading the sales and design team for the Midwest region and generating profitable sales, I oversee all construction related functions to ensure achievement of budgeted progress. Additionally I oversee all administrative functions to ensure achievement of business KPIs and seamless client experience. In my capacity as Regional Manager my mission is to lead and mentor staff to build a culture of merit-based performance and continual learning, and ensure our clients become happy home builders.

Midwest

I'm fortunate to be able to help people design & construct their first homes, investment properties, family homes, and dream homes. I assist clients with purchasing a suitable site, and advise on all elements of the building process, from conceptual stage, through to final design, pricing, and inclusions. My primary goal is to deliver a home that matches each clients requirements, meets their budget, and exceeds their expectations.After nearly five years of service to WA Country Builders, I was offered the opportunity to expand my role within the JWH Group by bringing my experience to Plunkett Homes Midwest. This exciting opportunity allowed me a 'sea-change' and the chance to work with new home designs, a wider group of people, and experience another part of the JWH Group's operations, while still maintaining my position within the Group who's passion for home building, (and beyond,) inspires me.

Geraldton

I was recruited to WA Country Builders in October 2010 and after weighing up my intended career path decided to come on board. My primary role is assisting potential clients to choose a design to suit their requirements, and if necessary, advise on a suitable site to purchase. I advise clients on pricing and design issues, and help make their desired home both attractive and affordable. I've become familiar with over 400 designs to choose from throughout the JWH Group, as well as being able to carry over a solid reputation and performance record from my previous position.I was the top ranked New Homes Consultant for the 2012/13 financial year, and again 2013/14 across WA Country Builders & Rural Building Company, statewide. I was also the top ranked consultant for WACB & RBC Midwest 2012, 13, 14, and 2015.

My primary role at Admiration Homes was as a Sales Consultant; matching new clients with appropriate designs, estimating and providing quotes for said designs, and in most cases preparing the full architectural working drawings for my own clients, as well as the clients of the other members of our sales team. In addition to this I would remain in contact with the clients throughout the course of construction, to ensure they remain as informed with the process of their homes construction as practicable. Handover of the new home, as well as administering the Defects Liability Period, (maintenance,) was also my responsibility.I resigned employment at Admiration Homes to broaden my interests within the construction industry and am still on good terms and in regular contact with the team there.

I was employed at Peter Teakle & Co. Design & Drafting as a trainee draftsman and worked on a variety of projects, from detailing alterations & additions, to residential working drawings, and multi-million dollar residential, commercial and industrial projects. Managing Director Peter Teakle played crucial role in both my development as an adult, and a designer, and I left his employ on good terms to pursue an interest in travel.
