Matt Walters is the Head of Corporate Development for Eve Air Mobility where he is excited to be growing the Urban Air Mobility ecosystem. Matt has worked with Embraer since 2017 in developing solutions for the evolving Urban Air Mobility industry, including co-authoring EmbraerX’s Urban Air Traffic Management white paper, Flight Plan 2030. Matt has over 20 years of startup and corporate innovation experience and as a Partner at Mission Ventures and the Managing Director of Runway Incubator, worked with over two dozen Global 2000 companies, including Lenovo, KDDI, and ADT, in creating and accelerating their innovation efforts. As a Principal at Ardent Capital, Matt was an early investor and developer of the Southeast Asia startup ecosystem, and in his role as the CFO for Room to Read, helped expand the startup organization to operations in 13 countries across Asia, Africa, and the US. Matt has focused much of his career on international development, investment, and growth, beginning with his time as a Princeton in Asia Fellow where he taught at Payap University and helped develop innovation strategies for the Country Director of AIG Thailand. Matt is based in the San Francisco Bay Area and is a major proponent of leveraging collaboration to unlock transformative change.
