Co-founder and co-owner until taken over by Xennia Technology Ltd in November 2010.Cametrics was a software consultancy firm based in Cambridge supplying software resource and expertise to the high tech companies in the Cambridge area.As Technical Director, I was directly involved in the selling of new projects. I would normally be the chief architect for the projects.I also managed projects and worked closely with the other members of Cametrics to code and complete the projects to the customer's specification.I was the main driving force of the technological advances and direction of Cametrics and set the standard for the coding. I also provided a mentoring role to all technical staff.In the 10 years that Cametrics was an independent company, we successfully introduced new technologies in to companies and increased their coding effort.We worked for many companies, however, there is a theme to the industries we worked with: Vacuum coating systems, Digital TV (Set-top-box) and Ink-Jet printing systems.Our skills were in image and video processing, embedded systems and hardware control of large machines.We put all of these skills together when Cametrics developed a RIP for industrial inkjet printers utilizing high speed techniques and the latest GPU and CPU technologies.
