My role as a School of Computing Assistant consists of two responsibilities: homework club and UCAS applicant days.At homework club, I am on hand to assist students in the years below with their assignments, and to generally help with content on their module.At UCAS applicant days, I greet applicants and their parents as they arrive at the university. Furthermore, I offer advice and answer any questions that they may have. I am also on the panel for an applicant question an answer session.

Manchester Lab

As part of my degree, I completed a year long internship at IBM's Manchester Lab, working in the test team for the SVC and Storwize storage visualisation platform. This included a variety of testing on both the software and hardware, and the use of technologies such as Linux, Windows and VMware.

Having volunteered in this role, I have also been able to work in a paid capacity. I worked as an AV Technician focusing on sound and visuals at weddings that were held at the church. This has included leading small teams and also recording wedding ceremonies for the couple using equipment provided by the church.
