BSI is one of the largest and definitely the oldest standards and certification body in the world. BSI tasked our team on moving from start-up mode to a more corporate model. Focus was on efficiency, profitability, and quality of service.Using the foundation of NCSI growth, BSI processes, and focus in regional and online training we grew every GFSI certification audit we performed: SQF, BSI, FSSC 22000, PrimusGFS and became #2 in U.S. Agriculture food safety and compliance sector and #1 GLOBALG.A.P. U.S. certification body.August 1st, 2014 - BSI asked me if I would find a manage the sale of BSI Food Verification Services, Inc. BSI wanted me to manage the Merger and Acquisition and have the company sold by October 1st, 2014. September 30th, 2014 the Stock Purchase Agreement was finalized and contracts signed with WQS, LLC.

When I was at Azzule, NCSI Americas was the second certification body that signed with PrimusGFS. In my position at Azzule I got to assist the two U.S. employees in NCSI on how to market and grow the PrimusGFS audit program in the U.S. Within 6 months of working closely to promote PrimusGFS, NCSI asked me to join their start-up and assist them in building the best certification body in the western hemisphere . . . HUGE GOALS very little team. :)We went to work right away meeting with every major retailer and became one of the most widely accepted certification bodies in the United States and grew our team of auditors, QA managers, and support staff, quickly became a major player within the U.S. agricultural certification sector. Exactly one year after joining NCSI we tripled the size of our company and was purchased by BSI.

Upon being hired at PrimusLabs the owner of the company told me my job was to learn how to "sell electrons" or figure out how to redesign and market the food safety database PrimusLabs had developed for their clients.Working at PrimusLabs was a foundational learning experience that launched my carrier in food safety and supply chain compliance. We were taught confidentiality is most important aspect of our career and, because of our strict standard of confidentiality, we had access to thousands of food companies most intimate procedural details, strategies, and suppliers. This was an education in supply chain food safety and compliance no university could teach you.Due to our vast industry knowledge, as a fulcrum of supplier compliance, industry leaders and retailers relied on our insight to assist in designing common sense food safety and compliance programs, including (food safety training, in-house audits, retailer inspections, GFSI training certifications, in-house and third party microbiological testing and pesticide residue testing, sustainability and social accountability programs, etc). Database Design and Data Management: One of the most important aspects of my job was assisting major processors, food marketers, retailer, and food service companies how to design and track their suppliers food safety and compliance. This lead to founding and managing Azzule.com Supply Chain Program.

Building Azzule was a fun project and great achievement. Azzule designed and built the SCP (Supply Chain Program) database which is the leading agricultural food safety and compliance supply chain database for major American retailers and food service companies.The Supply Chain Program was a food safety and compliance traceability program for major food companies. Managing food safety/sustainability/organic/social accountability/animal welfare audits, GFSI certifications, in-house and 3rd party micro biological lab tests, pesticide residue lab tests, etc from farm to fork.GFSI certification scheme/standard PrimusGFS was owned and managed by Azzule. I was in charge of growing the PrimusGFS GFSI scheme. I was in charge of increasing retail acceptance, finding new certification bodies, training centers, growing awareness and auditors through hosting regional and online trainings.

At Starbucks I helped build a team to open a new drive through store. The Starbucks experience was amazing, I learned how to hire, coach and schedule employees. Starbucks taught me how to control my controllables, manage growth & profitability, and become completely addicted to caffeine. :)

Mentored 7 high risk teenage boys for a year through big brothers and big sisters. -- After living with many different family members through middle school and highschool, through their unconditional love and strict expectations I thrived. As an 18 years old I wanted to give back to the same community of boys I could have become. The year of service in AmeriCorps was amazing and left a massive impact on my life; I learned more from the boys I mentored than I think they from me.

When I started with Beach Cycle Rentals my aunt and uncle, whom I just moved in with permanently, helped me get the job. They told me not to let them down and "TO WORK EVERYDAY LIKE I OWNED THE STORE". As an employee this is probably the best advice I have ever received.Started working at Beach Cycle rentals as a summer job between 10th and 11th grade - Primary job was to fix beach bikes, rent surf equipment, and give surf lessons. Job was fun but as a high schooler the perks of working with great people, assisting clients with amazing vacations, access to use any of the equipment for free, surfing, and teaching beautiful people how to surf was amazing! I woke up every morning excited to go to work and my enthusiasm for work rubbed off on the employees and the clients could tell our store was the place to be.Bill Rabenaldt, the owner of beach cycle rentals, was impressed with my enthusiasm and leadership and as a 16 year old he entrusted me to manage his three stores, and hire and train all the employees for all three places. What an amazing experience! Over the next 2 years I learned how to hire, train, and motivate teenagers into great employs and provide our clients with a fantastic vacation experience. Plus, Managing a surf shop in high school helped my popularity - way better to work for me than flipping hamburgers all summer . . . just saying.
