At age 16, I rode my bicycle from Paris to Rome and got hooked on exploration.That’s why I joined the US Army Cavalry, to learn techniques to navigate a challenging unknown where opportunities are fleeting, mistakes have consequences, and accomplishing the mission really matters.I’ve found that the same, deliberate approach works when engineering systems—applying what’s known to solve new, uncharted problems—even as curiosity has rewarded me with new tools like LEAN Six Sigma, PMP, and a master’s in engineering management.As a captain I was trained to lead, skills I loved applying as a program and project manager to help functional departments with differing capabilities, cultures, and concerns work better together, as a team, to achieve shared goals.I’m convinced there’s much more to discover, so I moved to Huntsville to do my part in America’s space exploration enterprise and uncover new lessons from the universe.
