I am a Quantum Computing Photonic Scientist working at QC Design GmbH. My job involves understanding and developing state of the art measurement based quantum computing models and developing software that allows end-to-end simulation of such models. Furthermore, I have also led the development of proprietary IP and patents in the field of Quantum Optics and Integrated Quantum Optics.During my academic career, I have published 5 papers as first author, 15 papers as collaborator, and I contributed in 1 patent.During my postdoc in the Integrated Quantum Optics group at University of Paderborn, I have worked on quantum nonlinear interferometry in the low-photon number regime, I have investigated coherence properties of photons and photon pairs by means of interferometers and other nonlinear measurements, and performed theoretical modelling of LNOI technology.My doctoral studies focused on the fabrication and characterization of integrated waveguides in nonlinear crystals for quantum optical experiments. During the first half of my PhD, I fabricated many samples in our cleanroom facility and characterized them in our optical labs. In the second half, I focused my attention on the investigation of the effects of fabrication imperfections in our systems.I graduated in Physics engineering (B. Sc and M. Sc) at the Polytechnic University in Milan, specializing in Optics and Photonics. My thesis was focused on the fabrication and characterization of femtosecond written waveguides in borosilicate glass for the realization of a quantum simulation platform. I have always been fascinated by computer simulation and modelling of physical systems. I am very passionate and can spend hours in developing models and simulations of systems of interest to analyze how their performance depends on external factors. ORCID: 0000-0001-5718-358X
