Launching the initial program in Toronto in 2013, he expanded the business overseas and set up multiple programs in Canada, India, and Vietnam. In addition to managing teams in three countries, Matthew met with hundreds of startups annually, attended startup events regularly and mentored dozens of portfolio companies.

Matthew’s responsibilities included overseeing the day-to-day operations and financial management of kenna. He led the onboarding of several new operational tools enabling the organization to operate more efficiently while implementing policies and procedures to ensure successful delivery of kenna’s suite of solutions. Kenna is focused on delivering transformative managed solutions for sales and marketing.

Matthew’s responsibilities at DVG included: business development as well as operational responsibilities with various client engagements. DVG works with small and mid-size business owners, to help guide them through corporate finance and strategic operations decisions.

Matthew's responsibilities as COO for Millennium's IT Solutions and Wireless divisions included: strategic planning, budgeting and forecasting as well as managing the sales, administration, operations, and finance teams. He was a key player in the negotiation and purchase of seven acquisitions which fuelled Millennium's growth from $5 million in revenue in 2006 to over $35 million in 2008. Matthew also managed the integration teams for each of the acquired businesses and worked closely with the management team to continuously expand the business. Matthew also streamlined the business by implementing several new systems to ensure service levels improved and reporting and monitoring was seamless across all business lines. He also prepared and presented quarterly reports to the board of directors

Matthew's responsibilities as the head of Drake's North American operation included day to day operations of 24 branches in Canada and the United States, as well as strategic planning, budgeting, forecasting, evaluating and monitoring systems and process, hiring consultants, and selling Drake's solutions. He was responsible for Drake's team of consultants who deliver Staffing, HR consulting and Technology solutions. Matthew worked closely with Drake's team of consultants to ensure the delivery of excellent service to hundreds of clients and thousands of candidates. Matthew was responsible for selling various Drake Productivity solutions, including Pixion, Drake P3, ClickIQ, and Drake Interactive. He also consulted Drake's Chairman on the development of several technology companies which Drake International held an equity stake.

Matthew held key roles in the development and growth of the business from inception to IPO. NRG began as a services business focused on web development, technology consulting, and market research. In 1999, he led the development of an investment division, focused on funding and developing early-stage technology-based businesses.
