Including testing new devices. Over the last few years with UC (Unified Communication) becoming more and more relevant, there is a need to have different devices and platforms communicate with one another. In my current role, we have transitioned from moving legacy standards based H.323 and SIP type devices, to making these work in our Microsoft Teams environment, in a seamless fashion. The more simple, the better for the end user. Being able to walk into a meeting room, hit 1 or 2 buttons and be able to get on with their meeting/work, minimal to no technical issues, ensures you will create advocates of the system you have implemented. Even in an internal IT support environment, having advocates of the technology you're putting in/supporting can spread with a positive effect. This adds value to the business in a plethora of ways. In terms of devices I have had experience with supporting, these include but are not limited to:- Poly Group Series suite of endpoints (300, 310, 500, 700)- Poly HDX suite of endpoints- Poly X Series- Poly MTRoA (Microsoft Teams Room on Android)- Microsoft Surface Hub (1 and 2S)- Logitech Rally Bar/TAP/Swytch- Logitech MTRoW (Microsoft Teams Rooms on Windows)- Logitech MTRoA (Microsoft Teams Room on Android)In terms of supporting other devices, these include but are not limited to:- Lenovo PCs- Dell PCs- Various Mobile technologies (Apple iPhone, Various Android devices)- Multi Function Devices (Network Printers/Scanners (Brother, Konica)
