Was hired to be the lead for the engineering group within the global network operations team. My purpose is to provide leadership to other engineers, work with teams to identify root cause analysis (RCA) of outages and engineer network changes based on recommended areas of improvement. To analyze the global network and to set standards moving forward. Work closely with firewall teams to implement new Security standards and to improve the process for managing firewalls. To be a lead on Severity One network down emergencies in order to identify root cause and fix the issue. To be an escalation point for the network operations team. Spend lots of time documenting and improving legacy networks. To identify routing specific issues with BGP, EIGRP, OSPF and set a standard for dynamic routing on a global scale.
