Most recently, I was promoted to drive marketing operations, fulfillment, billing and enrollment for TX, GA, NY, CT, MA, and NJ. This involved leading 6 direct reports, in team development, talent management, employee engagement, cost optimization, automation, and outsourcing.Successes include servings as conversion business sponsor for $100M billing system consolidation project over 3 years due to 8 M&As over past 10 years. In addition, I saved $60M by consolidating 4 billing systems into 1 platform, which included converting data of 1M customers.I supported explosive growth from 400K to 2M customers without adding headcount by developing a new platform. During this time, I stabilized and rebuilt 2 struggling departments. This included restructuring 2 teams: 1) supporting operational execution of retail marketing strategy; 2) managing delivery of customer print and electronic communication.As a result, I saved $2.5M annually by outsourcing all customer bill communications to one of the world’s largest print vendors. Also noteworthy, I outsourced returned mail processing, saving $250K per year and increasing output 300% with no added headcount.I rebuilt teams by instilling performance improvement plans, metrics, and accountability, and restored members’ confidence. Overall productivity and efficiencies improved dramatically by automating, outsourcing, and documenting processes.

In this role, I relocated to join our leadership team in Houston and set up a centralized retail operations function, previously ran from 8 offices across the US and Canada. This role also entailed leading a team in day-to-day processing and optimization of electronic business transactions.My impact included consolidating all North American operation functions to Houston in 12 months, covering markets in 17 states/providences. Additionally, I reduced headcount by 9 FTEs via centralization of transaction and data management from 7 regions to 1 office.As well, I facilitated the growth of mass market (residential) from 0 to ~2M customers by creating low-touch business process flows. While still supporting commercial and industrial business on the same platform, I reduced manual touch points 60%.

During this time, I led a 12-member team of business analysts and developers to maintain and enhance back office systems. This involved overseeing production support, change control, user acceptance, and regression testing across 7 regional offices.Most notably, I managed prioritization of 7 regional General Manager’s needs for break/fix and enhancements across 3 time zones. I also led a 6-month project to outsource EDI computing and support to improve KPIs, cut processing time, and save $700K per year. Additional accomplishments include creating one unified view of transaction activity across previously disconnected and non-integrated platforms. Too, I successfully supported billing, accounts receivable, collections, forecasting, customer care, and transaction systems.
