As an SRE manager and individual contributor on Starlink, my team was responsible for the infrastructure around the ground control plane. We owned the OS installation on bare metal, up through the Kubernetes orchestration layer, as well as monitoring, CI/CD, and more. Our purpose was to build and maintain a global platform on which the Starlink service could dependably run.

Served as part of the team responsible for the Linux platform and Linux-based services throughout the SpaceX infrastructure. Essentially, we were responsible for all Linux machines that weren't on the vehicles.At SpaceX, I specialized in re-architecting and re-engineering services in a sustainable, supportable way. In our environment, I utilized a multi-tier Puppet/Hiera infrastructure, which allowed for staged roll-out, testing and verification using external monitoring as well as built-in checks throughout the CI/CD workflow. I was responsible for the monitoring ecosystem of enterprise IT and physical/vehicle manufacturing assets using various off-the-shelf alerting and metrics-collection software, augmented with in-house developed plumbing to tie it all together.I also functioned as Responsible Engineer (RE) for several mission and life critical services, and developed python-based libraries and tooling in-use throughout SpaceX for the provisioning and life-cycle management of compute resources.

I was responsible for the network and virtualization infrastructure at the College of Computer and Information Science at Northeastern University. Worked extensively on VMware ESXi, as well as Cisco Catalyst and Nexus switches, as well as Cacti/Graphite/Nagios for monitoring.

Assisted Stephen Foskett in organizing Tech Field Day events.As event coordinator, I was responsible for nearly all logistical operations of organizing travel for delegates arriving in San Jose, California from around the world, ensuring smooth travel around the Bay Area, and managing hotel accommodations. I also acted as delegate liaison, and assisted with vendor arrangements as necessary.
