I provide public relations support for Teamsters trade divisions and serve as the lead communications staffer for the IBT Dept. of Political and Legislative Action. This includes managing media inquiries, pitching reporters, drafting press releases, talking points, speeches, and other materials; prepping interviewees prior to them speaking with the press, running rallies and press conferences, and a wide variety of other responsibilities. In addition to earned media, some of my other responsibilities include paid media, running social media campaigns, writing magazine stories, producing videos, making fliers and brochures, and creating content in a number of other mediums.I have experience with Cision, Action Network, Meta Business Suite, TV Eyes, and other CRM and media monitoring platforms.Some of my key achievements include managing PR for the largest cannabis dispensary strike in U.S. history; overseeing member communications on the CEMEX organizing campaign, which led to a landmark NLRB ruling regarding legal remedies for union-busting; overseeing the PR campaign for the Teamsters' efforts to pass autonomous vehicle regulations into law; and overseeing public pressure campaigns in numerous strikes, organizing, and contract campaigns.

Bakersfield, California Area

• Ran the first ever data and volunteer driven grassroots field program on behalf of Amanda Renteria in California’s 21st Congressional District, including budget management, hiring; creating, overseeing and implementing the field plan.• Managed a staff of fourteen field organizers and two regional field directors across four regional field offices; was responsible for holding them accountable for their volunteer capacity building metrics, voter contact numbers, and attendance at grassroots events, including a 1,800+ person rally with Vice President Joe Biden.• Built and managed a volunteer base of 600+ consistent volunteers that completed over 3,000 volunteer shifts and contributed the 132,207 door attempts and 515,526 phone calls made throughout the course of the cycle.• Planned and managed implementation of our 28-day Get Out The Vote effort, oversaw a 15-pt advantage in the first week of PAV returns, exceeding both 2010 and 2012 projected turnout models.• Coordinated with statewide and local democratic campaigns, the DCCC, the California Democratic Party, multiple county parties, community leaders, labor unions, and campaign consultants on campaign strategy and community outreach.

• Recruited, hired, trained, and managed a team of over 100 paid canvassers on behalf of the Virginia League of Conversation Voters PAC's efforts to elect Terry McAuliffe Governor of Virginia • Contributed to a program that knocked over 300,000 doors in thirty-six days throughout the Richmond metropolitan area, including a GOTV program that knocked on over 100,000 doors in four days• Implemented a successful, cutting-edge experiment that tested the effectiveness of showing informational videos to voters on ipads when compared with traditional canvassing techniques

• Served as primary point of contact in the Long Beach satellite office, worked closely with Long Beach Democratic Club and down-ballot candidates to implement an effective county-wide campaign strategy• Served as the Long Beach Staging Location Director during primary GOTV; oversaw an average of 2,000 phone calls per day that contributed to Tom Suozzi's seventeen-point win in the democratic primary for County Executive
