Legislative Representative
Current• Cultivate, build, and maintain relationships with bipartisan Members of Congress, the Executive Branch, and external stakeholders, advocating and lobbying for the 150,000 federal employees represented by the National Treasury Employees Union (NTEU). • Lobby Members and staff of the following Committees: House Ways and Means, House Energy and Commerce, House Oversight, House Appropriations, Senate Appropriations, Senate Homeland Security and Governmental Affairs, Senate HELP, Senate Finance, and Senate Energy. • Manage a legislative portfolio of issues relating to federal health benefits, retirement, insurance benefits, leave policy, and whistleblower rights. • Draft and propose legislation, amendments, and appropriations recommendations. • Analyze legislation and monitor the changing political landscape to make recommendations to senior leadership.
