Employed as a paid Multimedia Development intern on the Digital Services team at the University of Central Lancashire. This role has allowed me to easily transition from a student to a staff member at the University and I have been able to gain valuable experience in a busy Multimedia working environment. I have been trained in many areas to make sure I am able to conform to the professional standards, rules and guidelines set by the University and the government and also meet the expectations of both my superiors and my clients. Roles include video editing and production using Final Cut Pro, Adobe After Effects and Adobe Premiere Pro, motion graphics using Cinema 4D, image manipulation using Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator, lecture capture and lecture recordings using Adobe Connect and advanced filming equipment, supporting teleconferences, video conferences, awards ceremonies and other special events and addressing staff and student problems and requests daily. This temporary graduate role started on the 4th January 2016 and is due to end on the 27th March 2016.

Employed by Tamarack Camps in Michigan, USA through the Camp America scheme as a tripper. This role required me to work with children at a Jewish summer camp at Ortonville in Michigan during the summer of 2015. Duties involved taking the children out hiking and canoeing into the backcountry during a series of adventure trips on a weekly basis, supervising a team of staff members when out on trips, being responsible for the safety of everyone on the trip, ensuring prescribed medication was given to everyone on the trip each meal, evaluating younger trainee staff performances, running educational sessions when at main camp and adapting them to suit the different ages of the children, assisting main camp with many different logistical tasks and constantly maintaining a positive and energetic attitude at all times so that the children could have the best experience possible. This role required me to act fast and use my own initiative to ensure the safety of everyone when on trips, demonstrate good team working skills, be a suitable role model for the children at camp and keep in mind the responsibility of a camp counsellor at all times. This role was held from 7th June 2015 to the 14th August 2015.

Worked part time at Sainsbury's Preston branch on the General Merchandise section. My duties were varied and included interacting with customers, advising customers on the various electrical and non food items in the store (this includes assisting them with the various tablets, mobile devices and laptop systems using my own knowledge and what I had been taught at University), answering customers queries over the phone and in person, confidently leading when given the opportunity, operating checkouts, operating customer service desks, refunding and exchanging items brought into the store, stock replenishment, stock presentation, communicating with other Sainsbury's employees across the UK (to make sure the customer is truly satisfied) and assisting in other areas of the store (including working in the busy cafe and counter sections). I thoroughly enjoyed working at Sainsbury's as I felt I made a difference in the store and that I was a valued member of the team.

After my performance working at Waitrose Formby I was considered an efficient and valuable member of the branch and the John Lewis Partnership. I was therefore given a transfer to the Preston branch when I started my studies at the University of Central Lancashire.

Worked at Waitrose Formby branch on the Ambient section and gained experience in a busy environment interacting with customers and other John Lewis partners. Working with Waitrose helped me to further develop my social, communication and team working skills and the experience has increased my confidence in all aspects of working life.
