A life long resident of Maine, Timberlake grew up in the underground utility industry as a third generation member of the family owned Ted Berry Company Inc., where he served as its president. In February of 2019, the Vortex Companies acquired the Ted Berry Company.

As Regional Vice President, Mr. Timberlake oversees Vortex’s expansion and operations in the northeast region. A life long resident of Maine, Timberlake grew up in the underground utility industry as a third generation member of the family owned Ted Berry Company Inc., where he served as its president.In February of 2019, the Vortex Companies acquired the Ted Berry Company. Together the two companies present a tremendous opportunity for growth, not only in the northeast region but across the country, as well. Given its history of success and strong reputation, Mr. Timberlake continues to oversee the 80+ employees while implementing additional processes and services offered by Vortex.Over the course of his career, several industry associations have recognized Mr. Timberlake for his contributions to the advancement of trenchless solutions and underground utility repair. These include: the Northeast Trenchless Association Founders Award, the Maine Waste Water Control Association Presidents Award, the Maine Water Environment Association Communications Award, and the Maine Water Utilities Association with its Jim Doherty Award. Mr. Timberlake resides in Livermore, Maine with his wife of 12 years, Christine, and their five children.

Clear Drains of Maine LLC will provide trenchless sewer and drain rehabilitation services to residential and commercial clients throughout Maine and the New Hampshire seacoast.Our crews use the latest technologies available including Perma-Liner Perma-Lateral system and all our crews are certified installers.How It WorksFirst the problematic sewer or drain pipe is video inspected by Clear Drains of Maine technicians. Sometimes it is necessary to clean the pipes so that the camera leans is not obscured by debris. The video inspection is used to determine the condition of the pipe and the length of the pipe lining required.Next the pipe lining material (“liner”) is cut to the correct length by a certified Clear Drains of Maine installer and the correct amount of resin is weighed out and mixed. The mixed resin is then used to completely wet out or saturate the “liner”, after which air is used to “shoot” (invert) the liner into the pipe. Inversion means that air or water is used to turn the liner inside out inside the pipe, like turning a sock inside out.Then the liner is inflated under air pressure and held against the pipe walls where the resin hardens after about 3 hours. Finally the new pipe lining is video inspected for quality control. At completion of a project a new structural “liner” has been installed with very little impact to your home, your property, and your life in general. Most installations take less than one day right from an existing cleanout.
