This was a contract project through Randstad to assist the Walmart team in redesigning and developing an old enterprise green-screen application used to manage the Cash Office accounting within store locations. I joined mid-project, replacing another designer that rolled off the project. Many of the UI components and patterns were already established when I onboarded. The bulk of the work consists of interaction design and layout.

This short-term project was to help IAA develop a more useful tool for their users (insurance adjusters) to predict all of the charges like towing and storage before a wrecked vehicle goes to auction, enabling users to make better, faster decisions and minimize their loss. There were two designers on this project. My role was primarily UX/UI and Interaction design, creating a high-fidelity prototype. We met with stakeholders to understand requirements. I iterated through several low-fidelity and higher-fidelity wireframes, then designed the high-fidelity mockups and prototype in Axure. We conducted a single round of usability testing to validate our design decisions and made some minor adjustments. We handed the project off to the client to socialize.

I was originally contracted through SPR Consulting to support the AMA in redesigning a portion of an internal forums application built in Drupal. To the delight of the client, I delivered all of the design artifacts for the project before the deadline. They extended my contract through the middle of May to support them on another project to re-design the AMA member application process.

Supported clients through the full user-centered design process and UX/UI disciplines from user research, interaction design, information architecture, wireframing and prototyping to usability testing, final visual design, even light front-end development (HTML/CSS/Javascript). Developed design systems, style-guides and pattern libraries to ensure scalability across products. Oak Street Health is a primary healthcare provider for adults on Medicare. This was a three month contract to design and build digital marketing for annual Medicare enrollment, including a landing page and multiple emails with marketing automation through MailChimp. Numerous website updates and enhancements. Integration with a new chatbot. Google Analytics implementation and more. This project required both visual design and front-end development skills, using Javascript Bootstrap framework for responsive and mobile design. It also required quickly learning, and getting up to speed with Ruby on Rails. The tools used most for this engagment were Photoshop, Illustrator, RubyMine(Jet Brains), Webstorm(Jet Brains) and MailChimp.
