After graduating UC Berkeley in 2005 with a degree in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science, I worked in Silicon Valley as a Software Engineer (and then Senior Software Engineer) for over 8 years. I predominantly developed Android apps (in Java) for mobile carriers. After two of the start-ups I worked for were acquired, providing a comfortable savings for my age, I realized I had a chance to explore other career opportunities that always interested me. I was also recovering from a stressful battle with cancer that motivated me to seek new life experiences while I was at an age where I could take on such a risk.So in 2014, I put my tech career on pause and moved to LA to pursue comedy, screenwriting, and documentary filmmaking. During that time, I did freelance IT work for clients all over LA county and helped my aunt manage our family's gravel pit business for work. Those roles weren’t full time, giving me the ability to focus on my artistic pursuits. I also volunteered for film festivals like Outfest and the LA Film Festival. This artistic path has been a fulfilling experience, but I'm ready to return to my tech career and leave my comedy and film efforts as hobbies.Specialties: Experience in developing client applications for mobile devices in J2me, RIM, and Android and maintaining servers in HTML, PHP, and MySQL.
