I am passionate about equitable economic development as a means of fostering more prosperous, resilient, and sustainable communities. At NYC Planning, I co-lead a team of planners dedicated to the equitable economic development of NYC neighborhoods and situating this growth within citywide and regional economic trends. I manage studies of industrial and storefront businesses, helps to shape neighborhood studies and rezonings, and was lead planner for City of Yes for Economic Opportunity—a comprehensive modernization of NYC’s commercial and industrial zoning regulations to support small business vitality and growth. I got my start in government as a NYC Urban Fellow and am currently on the program’s alumni association Board of Directors. As a city planner, I most interested in economic development, housing, infrastructure, and the ways in which people shape –and are shaped by – the built environment.
