It was a great four years and I really enjoyed the hands on learning philosophy that I have been able to participate in. I got the opportunity to work with Wildnote, an innovative tech start up in San Luis Obispo. While working for them I revamped their customer support process by setting up and implementing Salesforce Service Cloud. I was the lead mechanical design engineer with De Oro Devices, an innovative medical device startup, where I took their product from ideation to functional prototype in the course of a summer.While working for them I was able to:• Develop a Class 1 medical device from ideation to working prototype• Utilize the design process for development of the product • Fabricate prototypes with 3D printing• Excel in a startup environment while coordinating tasks and deadlines with a motivated team

I worked on a research team of five engineers focusing on 3D printing of short fiber infused composites. By modifying a 3D printer extrusion head, we were able to use a custom made UV curable resin infused with short fibers to 3D print composite material. I mainly worked on the custom extruder head, the UV light array, material properties testing, and published research paper.
