Intern with Accenture placed on a Product Life-cycle Management implementation in a change management role. Primarily aided in creating training materials and environments in the PLM system, led training sessions with direct client groups, and worked with the client to ensure their desired requirements were met. The role was a direct client facing opportunity that provided a deep level of experience in how Accenture manages client relationships and works to build the proper work environment for client buy-in and takeover of the systems being implemented.

Managed a Lean consolidation project using many Lean principles, particularly 5S. Consolidated all non-inventory materials and vendors, and redesigned the storage and distribution system for the materials. The project cut $3,000 a year from material costs and improved workplace organization and flow. Also created and implemented a new scrap/recycling area for my building, including procedural documentation. Performed and documented meter testing as well suggesting changes with possible savings of $1M. Through project completion became PRIME Certified in Process Improvement.

Interned with the quality control and engineering department. Worked to design new storage layouts to organize the storage and distribution of welding instrumentation while also implementing a tracking system for those welding parts. Also studied weld times to improve the quoting accuracy and assisted in quote testing.
