Building the first ever national mini donut chain.Started as Duzn Donuts, a delivery only concept in Seattle in 2019, we opened in the popular Liberty Public Market in San Diego's Liberty Station in January 2022, and quickly expanded to Little Italy Food Hall in June of '22 and Windmill Food Hall in Carlsbad, CA in January '23. Short but great ride. Not the perfect place for me but learned a ton from many amazing folks. While there, I was responsible for the existing supply of Amazon Flex drivers across the United States. This involved:- Creating and executing on new product launches, specifically Whole Foods Delivery, Amazon Restaurants, Amazon Flex Points, and Amazon Sort Centers- Required collaboration and building relationships with a number of different teams and stakeholders from Amazon HQ to warehouse teams- Leveraged data to measure efficacy- Building and passing off complete and easy-to-use playbooks for the teams that will execute moving forward

As Head of Operations, I was on the ground creating and executing playbooks for a number of processes: - Bike deployment, supply positioning, and rebalancing- Ongoing bike maintenance processes- Efficient and cost-effective bike assembly- Launch planning- Hiring, training, and managing city team employees and contractors- Customer support- Local events

Joined Sonder as one of the first GMs. Was a bit premature and left along with a number of other GMs for other opportunities. While there, I was responsible for the San Diego market, including:- Building and managing the team and culture via OKRs (2 to 11 employees in 4 months)- Real estate acquisition (0 to 75+ active locations in 8 months)- Revenue generation, optimization, and occupancy (Top 3 company-wide in all three categories)- Guest experience (60+ NPS, hospitality industry avg is in the 40’s)- Setting up, scaling, and driving down costs for daily activities like housekeeping, maintenance, check-in/out, rapid responding, inventory management, quality control and more

73rd hire globally, first in San Diego. As Sr. Ops Mgr, I hired and led a large team of operations managers and coordinators. I was responsible for Uber San Diego's supply health, including:- Driver acquisition, retention, and anti-churn strategies (Top 2 supply score in the US, typically)- Geographic expansion (top supply scores despite covering nearly 3,000 square miles, first city to offer neighborhood-specific onboarding events which was adopted company-wide)- Driver Communication strategies and experimentation- Talent development and management primarily using OKRs (first 8 members of my team were all poached to other teams)- Logistics for all large-scale marketing promotions and on-demand stunts like Uber Ice Cream, Uberrito, On-Demand Sky Writing, On-Demand Barbershop Quartets, UberCHOPPER, and more- Driver-related partnerships (Pep Boys, NAPA, created the Uber Partner Perks Program which was adopted company-wide)- Regulatory (SD City Council, SD Taxicab Commission, SD Airport Board)Outside of my job in San Diego, I launched Uber in Ohio and was a part of launch teams for Nevada and Portland, Oregon.

Employee #7. Did everything. Was originally hired to recruit teachers. Was first sales person. Managed the sales and customer support teams. Hired and trained 30+ people to ramp up for the launch of the TakeLessons @ Best Buy program, and subsequently managed the East Coast territory for the program.
