My role as Technical Lead & Software Engineer on a product called App Framework, a library of highly customisable React Native components, containers and utilities that are used by wiGroup's internal development teams when building client solutions, involved architecting and developing the product, coordinating the team and their delivery on tasks and aligning with the business team on their goals to ensure delivery on features that catered for their needs.

My objective as Design Competency Lead was to reduce designer-developer friction and put in place structures and standards that were formerly lacking in the department.

I joined wiGroup to help start a division named Strategic Projects whose role within the company was to drive innovation with a focus on the mobile transactions market.

While doing online courses through Treehouse and Udemy I freelanced to cover living costs.

My role saw me take projects all the way from the initial meeting with a client, through the design phase and finally the development of the product.

I held this job for most of the duration of my studies. I promoted brands such as Castle Lite, Black Label, Jack Daniels, Castle Lager Draught, Famous Grouse and many more.

I worked at the product launch of the Samsung Galaxy Note 2, Galaxy Tab and Galaxy S3. My job entailed showing customers how the products worked, answering tech related questions and demonstrating the creative capabilities of the products.
