Joint Improvised Threat Defeat Organization (Jido)

Assisted oerational and tactical commanders, their staffs and their subordinate units with fusing operations and intelligence information in an effective, seamless process to enhance effectiveness against threat networks. Advised and assisted in developing processes that focus on developing situational understanding of threat networks and enabling DOD, Inter-agency, and IC communities of actions focused on dismantling, disrupting, and defeating threat networks. Prioritized and categorized requests for support, conducting near- and long-term analyses of device and network-centric problem sets, fusing multiple intelligence disciplines to support the application of operational capabilities in order to facilitate disruption and defeat of threat networks.

Served as an Irregular Warfare Analyst at the Johns Hopkins University Applied Physics Laboratory. Responsible for analyzing and developing solutions to current national security issues by collaborating with the intelligence and operations community. Developed written products in support of the Department of Defense in regard to operations and intelligence fusion. Providing research and analysis dealing with international terrorism and threat networks.

Ft. Meade, Md

As the Senior All-Source Intelligence Analyst with the U.S. Army’s Asymmetric Warfare Group (AWG), was responsible for identifying, analyzing, and crafting solutions to the asymmetric threats currently facing the Army and the broader Joint Forces community. Successfully operated as the General Military Intelligence and organizational expert supporting a wide range of geographic and topical areas. Ensured analysis conformed to approved and validated order-of-battle (ground, air & electronic) holdings and sources within the specific mission location. Specific tasks included Intelligence Preparation of the Environment (IPE), collection plans, written intelligence assessments, and briefings. Briefed and prepared teams of operational advisers to deploy to various locations. In preparing these teams utilized GeoSpatial Information Systems to help operational advisers to visualize the data and provide teams with a better understanding of the situation on the ground. Prepared teams by incorporating Intelligence Preparation of the Environment (IPE) and other variables in that particular geographic location. Conducted all-source research on specific geographic areas to assess developments, trends, and threat implications. Maintained contacts within various agencies of the Intelligence Community to synchronize analyst requirements and Defense HUMINT collection priorities. Created collaborative relationships between combatant commands and teams of AWG advisers in AWG's mission to assist elements of a specific geographic command. As an additional duty served as the Information and Requirements Manager, developed detailed plans to gather information to collaborate with and assist the Joint Forces Community. Performed quality control of written products and presentations authored by other intelligence and operational analysts within AWG.

Served as the Information and Requirements Manager at a customer site, collaborating with multiple staff elements to create organizational information requirements, processing raw information into relevant reporting in support of the intelligence community. Utilized SharePoint to disseminate information and process requests for information to enhance organizational information flow. Served as an organizational coordinator for collection management and analyst accounts with the HUMINT online tasking and reporting (HOTR) system, set up and managed accounts, established necessary addresses and user profile data, published standing collection requirements via HOTR that detail information gaps against specific threats and priority problem sets.

Fort Shafter, Hi

Served as the Intelligence Watch Officer in support of the United States Army Pacific (USARPAC) G3 Operations Division. Duties involved keeping senior staff aware of threats in relation to USARPAC current operations by conducting briefings and discussions on intelligence assessments with senior leadership. Coordinated with subordinate commands and the intelligence community to develop consensus on capabilities and intentions of potential hostile adversaries. Supported the Joint Terrorism Task Force responsible for homeland security of the Pacific Region by answering Requests for Information (RFI's) and providing intelligence assessments. Performed research and exercised collection methods, data base extraction techniques, and analytical applications to maintain constant situational awareness in support of USARPAC staff. Monitored Intelligence Community databases and various systems (e.g., JWICS and SIPRNET) for critical information which required after-hours notification of senior management. Conducted all-source research and incorporated applicable analysis of specific geographic areas to assess developments, trends, and threat implications. Kept senior staff informed of military, political-military, scientific, and technical, cultural and key leader developments within assigned areas to support operations.

Fort Shafter, Hi

As the Intelligence Analyst for a Regional Intelligence Team at the Army Pacific Intelligence Center was responsible for the daily operations of an Echelon Above Corps (EAC) intelligence team providing fused intelligence on eleven countries for the USARPAC Commanding General. Directed the team in the collection of information regarding significant threats in the Pacific Theater. Conducted all-source research and analysis of specific geographic areas to assess developments, trends, and threat implications. Provided timely, fused intelligence on multiple countries to include India, Nepal, Bangladesh and Thailand. Developed estimates and projections of emerging capabilities of hostile nations, extreme elements, and state and non-state factors by analyzing information, and tactics, techniques and procedures (TTP). Conducted daily collaboration with other commands in the Pacific Area of Operations to include the Navy, Marine and Air Force components. Served as the Assistant Platoon Sergeant.

Ft. Stewart, Ga

As the Analytical Control Team leader for a rapid deployable Brigade Combat Team, was responsible for the day to day operations as well as the morale and welfare of four junior Soldiers. Trained Soldiers in the use of data-mining tools such as the All Source Analysis System (ASAS), as well as the associated vehicle and equipment worth approximately two million dollars. In the subsequent train-up for the deployment to Operation Desert Spring and the eventual invasion of Iraq during Operation Iraqi Freedom, was responsible for making the team proficient in providing the Brigade Intelligence Officer with the relevant information to advise the Brigade Commander. Provided my team with training on collection methods, analytical methods, and all processes of making analytical judgments based on available and relevant information. I led the team in setting up and tearing down the vehicle and associated equipment in a quick manner in order to facilitate the fast moving operations involved with the invasion of Iraq. Conducted daily threat assessments and briefed emerging enemy trends/threats to the Brigade Intelligence Officer. Provided monthly intelligence updates to company level commanders regarding all significant events and current atmospherics in Iraq as they pertained to the U.S. military intelligence outlook. In the conduct of the operation the team was required to validate analytical conclusions by extrapolating from questionable or incomplete data. Deployed to Bosnia-Herzegovina on an 11 month rotation providing all-source analysis support to Task Force Athena keeping senior staff informed of military, political-military, scientific, and technical, cultural and key leader developments within assigned areas. Managed the production of intelligence products in support of Task Force 3-7 Calvary S2. Operated as a link with the Division Analytical Control Element (ACE) to support Task Force Operations.
